Gallery Dayan & Luxembourg commissioned me to portrait Daniella Luxembourg alongside her current exhibition of beautiful early sculptures by Alberto Giacometti. Alberto Giacometti: In His Own Words (Sculptures 1925-1934)

One of my images was published alongside her very interesting 5 day diary about the day in the life of a gallerist in the Financial Times last week. You can see the published version here.

I recommend reading her diary as it gives an interesting insight into 5 days of a strong, successful and independently minded woman.

24 hours. 24 photographers. 24 images. 24 years.

At the end of 2015 I joined a photographers collective with the interesting idea of documenting the first 24 hours of every New Year.

The concept:

24 hours. 24 photographers. 24 images. 24 years.

“The intention is to visually record time, taking the viewer on a visual journey through the first day of the New Year hour by hour.”

Each photographer is allocated a one-hour slot. Every year a different curator selects one image per photographer. The resulting 24 images are exhibited publicly. In previous years the exhibition took place outdoors in Soho Square.

My slot was the last hour on the 1st of January 2016 and I choose to spend it in Central London. My plan was to shoot portraits of passers-by and ask them about their plans for 2016.

It was a very fascinating hour. I had some really interesting and touching interactions with complete strangers. Here are two images from this hour I especially like.

I am very much looking forward to the exhibition and will let you know more about where & when soon.

This is the collective’s 13th year of existence and the website is if you want to have a look at their previous years.
